How To make Your Own Flavored Coffee Creamers ~ Recipes

Hi everyone!

Do you like all those different flavored creamers? Do you like the price? Of course not! I don’t really use these commercial creamers very often. I have to have a really good coupon and a sale going. But, I like to have a variety of flavors on hand in case I want a cup of something different.

Be thrifty and saving money does not mean you have to give up all of your favorite treats. Just look for cheaper methods to make them!

Thrifty and budget friendly recipe to make your own flavored coffee creamers

Give yourself a treat and still stay on your budget!

I discovered that when you strip away all little "luxuries" from your life when you are really tightening the purse strings, you end up sabotaging your budget. Why? It starts to break down your mental well being. Having a tight budget can be very emotionally destructive if you aren't careful. Allowing for little special treats here and there is almost essential. Just look for thriftier alternatives.

If expensive flavored coffee treats are one of your favorites or something that you look forward to here is how to make your own flavored coffee creamers and recipes!

And if you absolutely love a certain coffee shop's coffee, get just a plain cup of their coffee and add your own flavoring. You can make up a batch of flavored creamer and then portion it out into individual servings. Go to the dollar store and buy a box of snack size seal baggies and make up your own individual size flavored creamer. Keep a couple in your purse.

One of the best things about making your own is that you can control the sugar. I use Splenda for all my mixes but, you can use the same amount of sugar if you want,

Remember that cheap powder creamer has sugar in it. If you want to eliminate the sugar use powdered milk instead.
.

Any of these creamer recipes can be made into an instant flavored coffee mix by adding a 1/2 cup (more or less) instant coffee to the mix. And you can use those leftover frozen coffee cubes to make blended flavored cold coffee treats! Check out my post Freeze that leftover coffee! The post gives you more ideas to use leftover coffee.

I like to store these mixes in canning jars with labels. But, whatever thrifty airtight containers you find is just fine.

Another yummy thing to do with these flavored creamers is to add to ice cream and milk in a blender for tasty shakes!

  3. Diann this is so much fun -- and money saving too! I did this one year for my hubby for Father's Day and used the Starbucks iced coffee bottles and holder. They last a long time too. Thanks and I love your photography.
