I had found this frame (I cant remember if there was a picture in it or not) at a thrift store. I originally wanted to use it as a tray so I place this placemat inside it under the glass.
This is such a great way to use a picture you find thrifting that has a nice or unusually frame around it. It's perfect to set little vignettes. And you can move them easily!
And you can change them out to match any holiday or season by putting in a placemat, cardstock, fabric, wrapping paper and anything else that you like.
Well, now that I am in full swing Autumn decorating, I decided to use the tray differently.
I decided to use it like a backdrop for the bakers shelf in my dining room
I really like the way it looks up against the brick wall.
Instant way to frame your vignette and add interest and texture.
The colors in the placemat look so pretty with the autumn colors in the floral arrangement.
Just another fun way to use a frame!
All the items on this shelf were from the thrift store.
