How to Turn a Thrift Store Candlestick into Garden Art

Hi everyone!

As you most know, we are in the middle of our crazy season with our business DTL Herbs. So, doing a lot of fun things around home is not top priority. so, I thought I would not bombard you with farming posts and share a fun little redo of a thrift store find!

I really try to think outside the box when I go thrifting. And when I saw this candle stick at the thrift store for $1.00 for whatever weird reason, my mind thought Garden Art!

I would never have bought this to use as it’s intended purpose. Just not my style. However, painted with some fun bright colored flower pots, I would use it for garden art!

I went through my stash  of spray paint and decided on the bright cheery yellow. I did two coats of spray paint on it.

I found this happy ceramic pots at Michaels for 50% off. And knowing they were too small to plant real flowers in, I grabbed some 50% off cheery faux flowers to add to the pots.

I used some Gorilla Glue and attached the pots to the candle sticks and then took a piece of green styrofoam and glued it inside the pots and poked the flowers in to the foam.

Now there is something fun and bright as you walk up to our front door. Super easy and pretty thrifty, this was a fun project!
