A Birdhouse Table

Hi everyone!

Well, Mother Nature is really playing games with us lately. When I created this table she was giving glimpses of Spring in the near future. Most of the snow had melted and then I opened the blinds and what did I see? A snow blizzard and about 8 inches of snow!

At least there was sunshine streaming in when I did this table.

The first day of Spring is coming up this week. It is kind of hard to embrace it when you are trying to shovel the snow off your porch in order to get out.

The dinner plates and salad plates are Corelle. I picked up this set a few years ago. The little ring of birdhouses and ivy are just so sweet.

I found two of these fun hand painted plates at a thrift store. The original TJ Maxx sticker was on them. I thought they added a pretty touch to the “stack” with their cut out edges.

I included two different vintage glasses from Italy to the mix.

Maybe we will get a beautiful surprise this week and the snow will melt and it will start to feel like Spring! One can only hope!

How is the weather in your area? Are you one of the lucky ones seeing Spring flowers popping up or are you buried in snow as well?

I’m sure I don’t have to say it but, I will anyway….everything on this table except the silverware was thrifted. You know that is just how I roll here at TTG! LOL

  2. This is a very pretty table. I knew it was all thrifted (of course) but wasn't sure if you were rethrifting everything on the table! Those Corelle dishes are so lightweight they are my Mom's favorites to use, but her's aren't this pretty.

  4. I love your flatware! Is the bottom plate Pfaltzgraff? We are waiting for snow tomorrow night!

  6. Love your birdhouse theme! The thrift store finds mixed with your Corelle set is so pretty. Tablescaping is perfect for snow days. We have had a brutal winter too but I think we are past getting any more snow. A few of my daffodils have bloomed but most were frozen from the last storm. Stay warm.

  9. I love the Corelle plates, they are super sweet! With the bird houses and the Ivy planters on them they radiate with spring. The pierced plates are gorgeous and look perfect in the stack.
