Thrifty Things Friday #140

Hi everyone!
TTF CoHost 1
Linda and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Today I am not showing a thing. Instead I thought I would share a fun free evening out!
Christmas Light Decorations!
On Christmas eve, Troy and I take a little drive to a couple of specify streets in our area that we know go all out with Christmas lights! So, I thought I would share a couple houses with you.
This person adds something new every year and we look forward to trying to spot the new addition to his light show.
This person covered every single inch of his house in lights!
And even his fence and garage was completely covered in lights!
This just makes us smile!
Do you enjoy taking advantage of this time of the year and driving around and looking at all the Christmas light displays?
Now, let’s see what you have to share with us today!

  1. Hi Diann & Linda - I hope you both had a wonderful Christmas. Those are some great lights! I esp love the star tree and the big "Happy Birthday Jesus" sign. Take care - Dawn

  2. Wow- imagine all the hours it takes to get that done!
Wonderful and fun to drive around and look at, but I don't think I'd like to live across the street from it.

  3. After seeing a red plaid thermos at Crate & Barrel but unwilling to pay the price, I found something even better at Goodwill! Posted it today - thanks for hostessing the party ~ Mary

  4. Those homes are beautiful! There were no lights in our area on Christmas Eve. Due to the ice storm, most everyone around here was without power. We had our lights on and are one of the few in the neighborhood that put up lights. That would make our little light display one of the most beautiful this year....Very thankful that we didn't lose power, however we did have a lot of overnight guests. Still some without power even tonight.

  5. Love the lights! I didn't get out to see any this year but hopefully next year I will find a good neighborhood to visit for lights!

  6. Such a great light tour. I love seeing peoples yards at Christmas all lite up.

  7. Great photos Diann--we love to drive around and look at lights. We have a neighborhood nearby that the kid's christened "Light City," so we ALWAYS check them out first. Such a fun family tradition! Many thanks to you and Linda for hosting.

  8. LOVE the Christmas lights. So festive.

  9. A visual treat to see all the lighted homes. Hope your Christmas was wonderful. Thank you for hosting this year, appreciate all the work you put in to hosting. Happy New Year.
