Mums

Hi everyone!

Well the weather has finally turned cooler and it feels more like Fall around here. We recently visited a Mum farm and of course I needed to pick up a few to add to my other mums.

The colors are so gorgeous! Can you tell they are sitting under a pine tree right now? LOL

I need to get these beauties in the ground soon. They can be planted up to the first hard frost. This particular variety “self shapes” itself. I think Mother Nature is so amazing! They will automatically re-bloom into the rounded mound shape.

Have you added any new mums to your Autumn d├ęcor this year?

  2. Hi Diann...I didn't realize mums could come up year after year. Not much of a gardener here. Yours are lovely. Susan

  3. These are beautiful Diann. The colors are so brilliant. I have a couple of mums that have bloomed all year. Haven't bought any new ones this year but my daughter gave me one when she was here last week.
    Have a blessed week, Ginger

  4. You chose some nice colours. I stopped planting mums in the garden because they would come up leggy the following years. Hopefully we have a 'self shaping' variety here, as I would try again.

  5. Very pretty -- I never have good luck with planting though :( I think in all the years I've been doing it, they've only come back once or twice.
