Thrifty Things Friday #114

Hi everyone!

TTF CoHost 1

Happy TTF Day! Linda and I are so happy you have dropped by!

Do you use aprons? I don’t use them a lot but, I just adore all the cute ones I see. Recently I stopped at a yard sale and spotted two cute aprons. I knew I need a new one to use at the markets. It had to have a pocket and be comfortable. So, I just couldn’t pass this one up.

Just a cute and simple little cotton apron with red and white hearts.

And it still had the CTS sales tag on it. I picked it up for .50 cents.

The lady also had this one for $1.00. I am thinking that she was getting rid of her “holiday” aprons because not only did she have these in the yard sale, she had other holiday themed aprons available.

I bought the above one for my mom. She uses “full” aprons all the time.

Linda and I can’t wait to see what thrifty goodness you have to share this week!

  2. I do try to use the aprons I have -- I have a bad habit of wiping my hands on my clothes -- LOL! I love collecting vintage aprons -- some are SO pretty and fancy I can't believe ladies actually wore them to cook.

  11. I have an apron ( actually 2 ) on a hook in the kitchen. Never grew up using them and ruined countless clothes because of that! NOW, I try to remember to use one when frying food but usually at last minute! :)

  12. Like that apron. I've been hunting periodically for a nice apron at our local thrift store, but nothing so far. We'll see.

  13. I love aprons. My father recently gave me an apron worn almost daily by my great grandmother. Yesterday my granddaughter and I were in the kitchen making a homemade apple crumble and she wanted an apron to wear. I offered her choice and she chose that one! I of course took a picture of it and sent to my dad. Sweet memories...
