Thrifty Things Friday #102

Hi everyone!

happythumb

Welcome to TTF! Last week I didn’t get to visit everyone. I apologize for that. Several different things came up that needed my attention. I hope all of you are ready to enjoy a wonderful and Happy Easter!

Topiary Easter Bling

I thought some kind of fun, simple and colorful bling for Easter would be cute on my little topiary. So, I made some jelly bean garland!

Not a difficult project but, a sticky one!

I used a package of Jelly Belly (smaller jelly beans) from the dollar store and started stringing them together. The needle does get sticky and gunky after awhile and this is a project to use a thimble to help push the needle through.

Once you have your sting of jelly beans and are ready to add them to your topiary, stick a toothpick in a jelly bean wherever you want the swag to go.

Here is a little warning! the jelly beans get hard after awhile and trying to stick the toothpick in them is difficult. Keep your thumb out of the way! Unlike me who drew blood!

Then just poke the toothpicks in the topiary.
