I thought I would share a recent acquisition (yes, I was trying to sound all fancy schmancy with that word instead of saying “thrift find”). I found the set of four dinner plates at one place and then a week later I found the matching bowls at an entirely different thrift shop. Don’t you just love when that happens?!

I started with a brown suede tablecloth (okay, it really is a leftover piece of fabric my mom gave me) and then added these Dollar Tree bamboo placemats.

Yup, it states they were from Kohl’s for $3.99 each but, they ended up at the Dollar Tree.

They have a lovely floral pattern in dark chocolate brown.

I really like the brown glazed terra cotta dishes for salads.

I added the matching bowls.

Simple plain brown napkins (bought at a local grocery store for .24 cents. Set of four) with my shell napkin rings.

Vintage drinking glasses.

Tonight is a S-S-S dinner…..Soup, Salad and Sandwiches. So, I brought out one of my white ironstone soup tureens. No fancy centerpiece tonight.

I used some vintage wood handled flatware.

Just a simple table for dinner.

A fun vintage coffee pot for after dinner coffee.

How fun is that? It is a musical pot. You wind it up and it will play the music every time it is lifted up.

Just something silly to make us smile at the table.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Love it. The brown transferware is stunning. Those pieces are so hard to find and usually way out of my budget. Gorgeous tablescape. Hugs, Marty

It's OK to say thrift Diann, we're all proud of you for the acquisitions you make. I've never seen a musical pot before, how fun is that? I have been scouring around myself for a soup tureen, but the price has to be right.
