Zucchini Races

Hi everyone!

22

Happy Labor Day!!

So, when was the last time you were at a good zucchini race? Been awhile? Well, let me show you some highlights of this most coveted race!

At one of the Farmer’s Markets we attend, Wyandotte, they really have fun bringing families out for the market. And last week they held zucchini races. The zucchini was donated and the city had tables set up with all kinds of decorations and wheels to make your zucchini car.

See the one on the right hand side with the blue and purple feathers? That would be the Princess’s racing zucchini car!

Each zucchini car is weighed in so it can be raced against an equal weight competitor.

An esteemed panel of zucchini race car experts judges, better known as local business owners and volunteers, are there to rate the appearance and performance of these magnificently crafted racing vehicles.

That would be the princess watching and cheering on her zucchini car!

Bummer, she didn’t place. Came in 4th!

  3. What a fun idea. We have a big church picnic every year and that would be a great fun project for the families. It looks like you had a great family day.
