Wreath Makeover

Hi everyone!

The wreath I have had on my front door needed an update for the Autumn season. And what better way to Welcome your guests and the new season with a pretty wreath on your door!

So, I took it down and removed all the floral from this grapevine wreath and started with a fresh wreath base.

I added a length of the leaf garland I picked up at a thrift store. I didn’t want to cover the whole wreath, just the bottom and sides.

I had also picked up this package of Fall color berry garland at a thrift store for .60 cents.

When I knew I wanted to make a Fall wreath, I went to the thrift store first to look for Fall floral items. Afterward I went to DT to get items to fill in. IMG_4373 IMG_4393

A stop at DT to pick up a few stems of Fall flowers to tuck here and there.

IMG_4374I didn’t end up using all my Fall lovelies. About 1/3 of the DT flowers was enough. Reusing the wreath and using other things on hand, this wreath ended up costing me about $4.75. I can live with that.

IMG_4396 I don’t glue my floral, I wire it in so that it can be deconstructed later if I so desire. I like to be able to reuse things.

I scrounged through my stash of clearance and or thrifted ribbon. I decided to use two wired ribbons, one solid color and a patterned ribbon.

A little tucking in here and a little tucking in there.

The rich colors of Fall just make me smile!
