Happy first day of Fall Y’all!
Well, I have been sharing some thrift finds with you that all have a Fall theme going on. And now that it is officially Fall, I had to get my Autumn Groove on!
I redid the living room shelf.
I started with the green leaf plates I showed you. I thought they would make a pretty backdrop for the shelf.
As the center focal point, I used the copper-ish metal lantern I shared with you.
I added a golden textural candle to it. Don’t you love these kinds of candles? I got this one clearanced at Michaels over the winter.
These are two ceramic candle holders I bought clearanced at The Dollar Tree for .50 cents each. I think the colors are perfect and with the dark brown weave pattern pillars, they look perfect.
I wanted to elevate one of the candles so I just used a little clear ramekin to lift it up.
Remember this little copper embellished basket I thrifted?
It got a little makeover.
A trip to the Dollar Tree for a few stems of Fall flowers, leaves and berry clusters did the trick.
Last month, at Value World with my 50% off total purchase coupon, I bought a huge bag of leaf garland. I couldn't really tell what was in there but, for $1.75 it was worth the risk.
There were 3 of these leaf and berry garlands in the bag with the tags still on.
I love how full they are!
I snipped one of them and took off a couple of pieces to stuff on either side of the lantern.
As you can see, I also used two of my bargain grapevine pumpkins snuggled up to the sides of the lantern.
Pretty simple and very thrifty. Two of my favorite things!
