I would like to introduce you to Joann from Woman in Real Life. Joann’s blog is filled with fun glimpses into her family life, thrifting and great tidbits.
So, take it away Joann….
Hi there! I’m Joann from Woman in Real Life. Diann here at The Thrifty Groove has been kind enough to let me guest blog today, and I’m really excited to “meet” you all.
I have been blogging for just about a year now, and I have made many happy discoveries during that time. Most of all, I am astounded and impressed by just how creative and energetic women of the world are today. Women of all ages are going to school, going to work, raising children, creating amazing craft projects, cooking and baking, organizing their homes beautifully and shopping creatively, all on a budget.
Over the past year, I have been inspired by female bloggers and readers to re-visit the passion for thrift store shopping that I had as a teen. I have had so much fun shopping for vintage and not-so-vintage dishes and décor items to use in my home, as well as discounted clothing for all of the members of my family.
Today, I’m sharing a look at how my seven-year-old daughter incorporated one of my thrift store finds into her wardrobe on a recent cool and rainy day.
I purchased this little girl’s striped dress at a thrift store’s half-price clothing day for about $2. My gal decided to pair it with a sequined top she received in a birthday party loot bag. I love the way the sparkly part of the top is visible in the vee neck of the dress. Very creative on her part, I think.
She added a cute fedora, some simple black leggings and some hi top sneakers.
What do you think?
I hope you will get a chance to come visit me soon at Woman in Real Life for more thrift store finds, some vegetarian recipes and whatever else strikes my fancy. Grab a cup of tea and join me!
