One of my all time favorite movie lines ever is from Steel Magnolias……
The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize

This is something my mom taught me when I was very young. You don’t have to have a lot of money or a large wardrobe as long as you know how to accessorize. The right accessories can completely change a look of an outfit. And they are generally less expensive than clothing.
And one of the best parts of being a girl is we can play and have fun with purses, jewelry, scarves, shoes even nail polish and makeup can be accessories.
Needless to say, I have a slight addiction to accessories! I love junk jewelry and I look for it wherever I thrift. And the
cheaper… less expensive, the better!
Last week my mom, the princess and I went on a little jewelry junket adventure to some thrift stores.
The first thrift store was running a special, 25 % off your entire purchase. Yippee!
I couldn’t pass up this little gold Donna Karan bag for $1.59 (plus 25% off)
Then I found this little silver bag. I am sure it came free with a purchase of Dior parfums (as you can see in the below picture).
But, I how could I not buy a bag with a great big “D” on it? And it was $1.49 (additional 25% off)
A couple of silver and rhinestone bangles and one gold one. $.99 cents each (then 25% off)
A gold and rhinestone choker.
Simple beaded necklaces. What is nice about these two is I can make them into one long one as well. Also .99 cents.
We had a fun day out. My mom bought several very pretty jewelry pieces as well.
Here is some fun features from last week.
Talk about some bling…did you see these silver beauties at Victorian Studio?
More sparkly loveliness in these beautiful tea glass pieces from Land of Encraftment!
And more gorgeous pretties from Fabby’s Living who shared her beautiful gifted placemats!
Thank you ladies!
Now, on with the show!
