Enjoying the Moment

Hi everyone!

With the days going by so quickly and frantically around here, I have been forcing myself to take a little time out to count my blessings. It is just too easy for me to get caught up in all the madness of my everyday life and not take a moment to enjoy some of the beauty that the Lord has given me.

Even if I just make a simple cup of tea, sit down and relax by my flowers for just a few minutes, it brings me peace.

Gazing at the flowers and letting my mind drift can be a sort of meditation.

Letting go of all the chaos that my brain is whirling around all the time gives me the opportunity to focus on what is important.

I try not to lose the chance to admire what is right in front of me because I am so caught up in all the other aspects of what makes up my life.

IMG_3301

It only takes 15 minutes to just sit still, clear the mind and enjoy what is around you.

You will never have those 15 minutes again. So, savor the amazing wonders and blessings every chance you can!

  1. Everyone and everything seems to move so fast these days it is a "Blessing" to just "Stop, and smell the roses" as they (use to ) say...I have a post set for this week on leaving negativity behind us, and enjoying now :)

  3. I don't think people take time to enjoy the pretty things in life. No time for flower beds, no room or time for china. Just dust collectors to the minimalists! Love your phlox!

  12. This is such a good post for me right now. I need to take some time every day to meditate. I stay on the go all of the time! The busier I am...the happier! But I need time to reflect and count my blessings, too! Beautiful thoughts, my friend! I sure enjoyed being your guest this past weekend. What an honor! Thank you!

  16. Hi Diann, It has been way too long since I have been to visit you. I agree that time is moving way to fast and we have been gone most of the summer so far.

Your teacups are lovely and I can see where a cup of tea would be very calming. We need this so much. Your flowers you shared are so pretty. Enjoying them in a restful way sounds like a blessing to me.

    Have a wonderful week.
    Hugs, Jeanne
