We started out today with hope of rain. We got a small sprinkling and then nothing. Oh how we need a good pouring all day kind of rain!
I have the day to myself and of course it has been filled with household chores. But, I decided to take a break and even make myself a little pretty tea lunch.

Isn’t that just the cutest teapot? I recently found him and immediately brought him home to live at my house!

This teacup was a gift from my dad a few years ago. He found it an antique store while shopping with my mom. I just love the colors and the design!

Raspberries are one of my all time favorite fruits!

And blinging up a simple jar is as easy as a bit of white grosgrain ribbon and a dollar store beaded bracelet!

A little tarnished vintage silver tray.

I love these blue and white floral plates. I have had them for years.

So, that was my little tea luncheon. I hope you enjoyed your visit. And have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteHey, Diann! My husband and I were awakened by a strange noise this morning. We strained to recognize what it was. Lo and behold...it was thunder! It is actually raining!!! It's a wonderful feeling and the smell is so nice. I hope you get some soon. We're all happy about it right now, but when the clouds move out and the sun pops in to bring back those 100+ temps this afternoon along with VERY high humidity, I'm not so sure! :-) This is a very pretty setting, and the Mason jar treatment is really super. I don't know that I would ever has guessed that tea pot to be a tea pot! It's darling!

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet setting for one! I think it's important that we take time for ourselves. I love raspberries and eat them every day they are in season. This year we planted a raspberry bush and hopefully next summer I can pick my own. What a wonderful teapot, and the blue and white is always a winning combination!
ReplyDeleteI love those blue and white plates , so soft and delicate. Very pretty tea for one! The birds and deer usually enjoy my berries! Not one blueberry this year!
