While at the cabin, everyone had gone fishing one day except Troy and I. So, I thought it would be nice for the two of us to have a little lunch on the porch.
I decided to look around and let Mother Nature provide the inspiration.

I thought the ferns would be pretty instead of a small tablecloth or placemats. So, I went outside and cut some to start the table with.

The ferns are so lovely with their variegated shades of greens.

I had these green plastic charger plates I picked up from the Christmas Tree Shops a couple of years ago.

Also from the CTS, I used these fun lighthouse acrylic plates. The day before we spent in Alpena which is a city right on Lake Huron. And the design of this plate reminded me of being there.

Square white bowls for salad, silverware and linens complete this simple lunch setting.

Mix and matched silverware from the cabin. Half of the old silverware here actually is silver. It has been used on a regular basis since I was a kid so, there has never been any tarnish.

Just keeping it simple. There is not a lot of room for too many things on this little table.

I thought the flutes would be fun for our iced tea instead of plastic red solo cups. LOL

That was our quiet simple lunch for two. Just enjoying each others company and conversation.
