Have you noticed that I have been kinda scarce from the world of blogging lately? (at this point just humor me and say, “why yes Diann I sure did notice! LOL). We have been at our cabin for the last two weeks. We will be heading home this coming weekend.
I totally forgot to mention that I would be gone. I am sorry about that. I know a lot of you have sent in your blogger guest posts and have been wondering if I have received them. I am still going through all my email and I will contact you all this coming weekend regarding when you post will go live. Thank you all!
So, I came into town today to just to get online for a few minutes. This is where I am sitting and enjoying a Sicilian Sub…..YUM!
This is such a nice little place to stop in and get on the internet and have a fresh delish sandwich or bowl of soup.
We have been having a great time up here in Northern Michigan! The weather has been everywhere from 25 degrees to 90 degrees! We have bundled up and enjoyed bonfires in the evening and then turn around and head to the beach the next morning!
The princess has been having a blast! This was her first fishing trip. My brother (“Uncle Hunny”) bought her not one but, two new rod and reels for Christmas this past year and couldn’t wait to have her at the cabin and take her fishing. Fortunately, there is fishing lake near that you can basically just drop a line in the water and catch a fish.
Check out that whopper of a Sunfish! Woohoo! Her first fish!
Just enjoying the beauty of Mother Nature has been such a stress reliever. Listening to the sounds of the forest and all the critters.
Love the duo of colors on the evergreens.
So many different wild flowers.
And of course you all probably have already guessed, I have done a bit of fun thrifting! Most of it I will share later (including this week’s TTF party).
I picked this covered ceramic dish at a yard sale. Not a stain or crack anywhere.
I think it is a little over a quart. I couldn’t pass it up for .50 cents! I am always needing these to take to potlucks.
And I also bought a few things for “redo’s” that I have been working on at the cabin to share with you at some point.
Needless to say, I am so enjoying myself. My family was up for the long holiday weekend and it was so much fun to spend time together!
Oh, and stop back by tomorrow because we are having a small giveaway at our DTL Herbs LTD blog. I will tell you more about it tomorrow here at The Thrifty Groove.
Once again, I will be home this weekend and promise to catch up with everybody and visit all of you from my last couple of parties and this week’s party. I better make a big pot of coffee because I will be glued to the computer for a long stretch of time!
I hope you all are having a great week!
