Thrifty Things Friday #32

Hi Everyone!

Have I mentioned that I Looooove my mom? That my mom totally rocks! I am sure I have many times. LOL That’s because it is totally true!

Every year at this time when my dad heads up with all the guys in my family to the U.P. (Upper Peninsula, Michigan) for their bow hunting camp, my mom takes off across the state to spend a few days with her girlfriend. And of course, besides catching up with each other, they shop ‘til they drop!

And I look forward to her visiting because she always comes home with lots of goodies for Moi! I think my mom is the true and real hunter of the family because none of the guys came back with anything but, my mom sure did! (good thing the guys in my family don’t read my blog! LOL).

One of their favorite stores is a paper goods store that is super cheap! I have showed you some of the bounty she has gotten for me in the past. Here is what she bagged for me this year. And to think, she didn’t even have to go out a bait for her catches!

ttf32 014 ttf32 001-tilettf32 004-tilettf32 006-tilettf32 008-tilettf32 010-tilettf32 013-tileAll of this plus a big black bag my mom kept was less than $20.00! Woohoo!

Not only do I like to use these fun and pretty paper products around home once in awhile but, my mom knows that when we do special Herb Presentations for our business, we always have food made with our products for people to sample.  And we are booking a lot of specialty shows this winter so, we will be sampling then too.  And having pretty paper plates/napkins/table coverings helps us stand out just that little extra. But, even if you are paying only a dollar a package, it can really add up fast! Most of the packages of the paper products at this store are .25 cents!  Don’t you love it!

Thank you Mom!!

Now, let’s check out some fun features from last week’s party!

Brenda at Dragonflys and Stars showed us this cute owl she created for her yard! So creative!!

a3fallLaurie at Laurie’s Little Bits of Creativity, etc. showed us this awesome thrifted table she plans on redoing.

008Di at Cottage Wishes shared her pretty and thrifty Fall decor.

Please remember to link back to The Thrifty Groove on the post you use to join this party! I never feature anyone who doesn’t have a link back. It really isn’t fair to all the other people who join and include at link back.

Don’t forget, this Saturday is the monthly Thrifty Tablescape party! Come back and link up your fun thrifty tablescape!

  9. They are all so pretty! I am sure they will come in handy in the camper too!
We have to pay to get rid of our garbage by the bag, so we don't use paper.

  20. Hi :)
Finding your blog and this great Saturday party is what a consider a GREAT find.
I had to smile that your mother brought you things from her treasure hunt. I do the same thing with my children! It's so much fun to find things you know your daughters will love.
    I do it a lot.
Paper products are always so wonderful to have in your supplies. SO handy not to have to run to the store, but instead just open a cupboard..and pick something out.
You Mom IS a peach!! Great stuff. Not always easy stuff to find.
She certainly loves her girl and knows what she likes! LOVE it!
