Dining Room Shelf Redo

Hi everyone!

I finally finished the last of the Autumn decorating in the house last week. I know, I am so behind this year! Oh well, some years are like that.

Last time I showed you the shelf in the dining room it was decked out with Halloween decorations.

Autumn 2011 244Now it is ready for Autumn.

Autumn 2011 293Yup, that would be the reconstructed dining room table centerpiece from the picture below.

Over in the corner I have a couple of Autumn things.

Autumn 2011 325I thought since I had s many fun and cute Fall Salt & Pepper shakers, why not just display them. They are on a stack of gold chargers with some leaves and doodads.

  2. Diane, your shelf makeover is very pretty! You are still doing fall, and I just started my Christmas decorating this weekend. I never start until after Thanksgiving for Christmas. But the only time my family could get together was at Thanksgiving time. Thats our Christmas/Thanksgiving celebration. I haven't posted the pictures to respect those who do not believe in decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving.

  5. It all looks great to me! I love all the salt and peppers displayed. I am trying to figure out if I get out some Thanksgiving decorations or just go straight to Christmas....I think I will do a small Thanksgiving then move on to Christmas..yes thats what I'll do! hugs, Linda

  8. Wow Diann!

You may feel behind but you are actually, 'right on time' and perfectly in-sync with the season with this amazingly pretty Autumn decor vignette that you have created!

I also am very late , yet I must say that your post from last week's tea took my breath away! The while porcelain, exquisite glass Pumpkins and Peacock blue teacup were astonishingly lovely!

Thanks ever so much for joining us for Tuesday's Teas; we always love having you partake!

  9. You've been happily busy! I love your collection of salt and pepper shakers and it's a great idea to display them. Just this morning I was going through my Thanksgiving decorations and thought, "too bad they're only going to be up for a couple of weeks". Great minds think alike I guess!

  10. That all transferred well over to the shelf, Diann! It is filled in perfectly. I keep looking at my boxes marked Christmas, but I'm not going to touch them until Black Friday. At least that's what I keep telling myself!
