Some Fun Little Tea finds

Hi everyone!

Well today's tea is not an elaborate tea. But, I really like the purple and orange colors, perfect for the season. I wanted to show you a couple of fun little tea things I have found recently while thrifting.

little tea finds 001 Oddly enough, I have been really looking for a different, fun napkin holder. And I found this one at a new tiny thrift store by the Princess’s school. This little shop had about $80.00 worth of things I wanted. But, I was a good thrifter and ran out of the door as fast as I could before I was broke!

little tea finds 002 It is silver plated and just perfect for me! As you can see, I have not had the time to properly clean and polish it yet.

little tea finds 003 Isn’t that a fun napkin holder?

little tea finds 008 And this little miniature set was just too darling to pass up!

little tea finds 009 I have been slowly collecting miniature teacups,. teapots and tea things to make a table top “Christmas Tea Tree”. So, whenever I find any of these things and they are cute and inexpensive, I buy them and add the to the box for the tree.

little tea finds 006And yes, I so cheated. I bought these little carrot cake and cream cheese frosting cupcakes at Walmart. Hey, they were markdown to $1.50 for 2 dozen!

little tea finds 007 Everything is sitting on my freebie (AKA Dumpster dive) old white enamelware tray.

little tea finds 004 I am using my pretty purple and white Shelley teacup and saucer set. I have had this set for years.

little tea finds 005little tea finds 016 I love the scalloped rim of the teacup.

little tea finds 010little tea finds 011The weather has been so gorgeous I thought I should take advantage of it and have our tea outside.  The grapevine and leaf garland was found wadded up with some gold paper leaves taped to it with black electrical tape at a church rummage sale. LOL 3 sets of garland for .10 cents. I figured I could deconstruct the mess.

little tea finds 012See that big bushy plant next to our tea table? That is a new mint to us this year. It is Lime Mint and it is fabulous! I hope to get it harvested and dried this week.

little tea finds 013The old wicker table, the trellis in the background and the wicker chair (top right corner) were all curbside finds last summer. I love the way the old aged wicker and the lush herbs with a little bit of flowers showing looks so Victorian to me.
