A Little Yellow Tea Cup and Little Yellow Flowers

Hi everyone!

Wow, I have been so busy lately that I have not had a tea party in two weeks! Well, I just had to stop things for a moment and enjoy the day.

I picked up this little teacup at a thrift store a few weeks ago. It is just so sweet!

yellow teacup 004 I don’t normally buy these mini teacups but, I just couldn’t resist this one!

yellow teacup 005yellow teacup 006yellow teacup 007I had to share this sweet little flower growing on the shaded side of our home. Troy picked it up at one of the plant swaps earlier this Spring. We had no idea what it would look like. That is one of the fun things we enjoy about swapping plants. It is called Lemon Drop  and is in the Primrose family.

yellow teacup 001I know, not a pretty location for this sweet little beauty but, it is thriving.

yellow teacup 002yellow teacup 003Such a pretty yellow flower! I really am thrilled to have it as an addition to our yard!

yellow teacup 008yellow teacup 013I just picked up this fun bright teapot at a yard sale.  I thought it well worth the price of $1.75.

yellow teacup 014I have my little teacup sitting on a clearance yellow flower canapé plate from the Christmas Tree shops.

yellow teacup 017This beautiful cross stitch vintage linen came from a wonderful blogger I met. It is so delicate. The fabric is very fragile.

yellow teacup 010The pretty yellow embroidered napkins are probably my favorite napkins! They of course were thrifted quite awhile ago.

yellow teacup 011 I used the little lonely napkin ring that was in the big bag of napkin rings I thrifted a couple of weeks ago. I wish I had a set of these.

yellow teacup 012yellow teacup 009    I know a lot of you are like me when it comes to finding fun decor books at a great bargain price. We just HAVE to have them! I found these two Martha Stewart books at a local thrift store for $1.99 each.

  4. What a darling tea cup, Diann! You are the best-est thrifter; always finding great items. After reading your post on the herbs, I understand that thrifting to resell is part of your business. I believe your lemon drop is also called yellow loosestrife. I have some of it that my m-i-l gave me years ago. It's still thriving. Enjoy your summer and thanks for the tea today!
    Blessings, Beth
