Thrifty Things Friday Party #7

Hi everyone!

So, did you get to hit any yard sales this past weekend? Any good thrift store buys? I didn’t hit any yard sales but, our local thrift store had their 50% off everything in the store sale this past Saturday. And I got lots of goodies.

One of the things that I have been looking for every where I go thrifting is different items that could work for containers to make tabletop herb gardens. I want to make an assortment of different little indoor herb gardens to sell at the Farmer’s market this season. I have been collecting different containers throughout this past winter so, I have enough to get me started. Usually these little herb gardens sell pretty good for us, so I need lots of containers.

Here are a couple of thrifted items I picked up to plant herbs in.

Aren’t these wooden boxes adorable! I think they will make such cute little herb gardens! I got two of the larger box and then the smaller one. The smaller one was .99 cents and the two larger ones were $1.50 each.

TTF 7 Bargains 004A pretty vintage FireKing hobnail container. I think I will probably put a peppermint plant in this one. It was .99 cents.

TTF 7 Bargains 006 This is such a sweet little lidded china jar. Not sure what I will plant in this one. Probably a mint of some sort or lemon verbena. I will make sure the lid is with it so they can use the jar for something else if they want to. I was $1.35.

TTF 7 Bargains 017This pretty red basket was clearanced to .97 cents at the Christmas Tree Shops. I think it will make a nice planter.

TTF 7 Bargains 018I bought 2 of these cute plant baskets. they were clearanced to $1.99 and are all set for plants.

TTF 7 Bargains 011 Now this pretty pink depression bowl is for me. I have a matching sugar bowl that I use everyday. It was $1.25.

TTF 7 Bargains 014TTF 7 Bargains 015This grapevine covered dish is for me as well. It was $1.99. Don’t you love having covered dishes for serving?

TTF 7 Bargains 010And last but not least, is this black tabletop plate holder. This was a curbside freebie! Yup, a little trash pickin’ was done this week! LOL

And let’s check out these fun thrifty posts from last week.
