Mixed Berry Bellinis

Hi everyone!

Today I am joining Lynn for her “Celebrity Cook-Along”. And this month’s Celebrity is Paula Deen y’all.

I love this super simple drink recipe. I have made it a couple of times. This is the perfect drink to serve on a warm afternoon out on the patio. And it’s a pretty drink. That’s important don’t ya know!

Paula Deen recipe 007

Mixed Berry Bellinis

1/4 cup of sugar

1 (12 oz)  frozen mixed berries (thawed or unthawed)

1 bottle of sparkling white wine (I am using a sparking pear cider instead of wine so the princess can have some as well)

Paula Deen recipe 001 In your blender blend the berries and the sugar. I always end up adding about 1/2 cup of the sparking wine to help it all blend better because I always make it with the berries still frozen. Once blended, you can strain out the fruit pulp if you like. We actually like the little bits of fruit so, I didn’t strain.

Pour berry mixture into a pitcher and add the sparkling wine. Stir. Serve immediately.

  5. They look delicious. I'm going to save the recipe for when our berries are ripe. This is another good use for fresh berries and the drink will be a great way to toast the harvest.
