Thrifty St Patty’s Day Tray

Hi everyone!

You might remember this post showing some recent thrift finds that I used for a tablescape.

Feb 2011 bargains 059Feb 2011 bargains 064I decided to use these thrift finds to make a little coffee table St. Patrick’s centerpiece.

St. Paddys day 2011 008Add some after Christmas clearance green votives.

St. Paddys day 2011 009Add some shiny St. Patrick’s garland from the dollar store.

St. Paddys day 2011 010Some daisies and shamrock stems.

St. Paddys day 2011 012St. Paddys day 2011 013St. Paddys day 2011 014A dark green napkin and a white napkin to use as a table runner of sorts. Both sets of napkins were thrift finds.

St. Paddys day 2011 015    Using every day things from around the house instead of buying holiday specific decor, works great and creates less clutter. I love using the sorbet glasses as votive holders. I use wineglasses a lot for tealight holders as well.

Are you decorating for St. Patrick’s day yet? If so, are you using things from around your home? thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

  3. It's so nice to see another thrift store addict or as we call it here in New Zealand Op-Shop (oportunity Shop). I love the shape of the tray. Altogether a lovely little display.

  8. Love to use votives in different glasses, these look great. I've got some green going on for sure. Not buying anything new, just using all my green stuff!

  9. How very creative Diann. I don't usually have much green decorations except Christmas things. Love how you used everything together.

  12. Just looking at your blog again today and you have inspired me. This week I went hunting (a term I use for all my op-shop outings) and found some great stuff. I bought the most gorgeous little glass jug. Your sundae dishes reminded me of it! I must get some photos done today and show it off!
