Hi everyone!
This week I was excited to see the 50% off coupons (one for March and one for April) for Value World Thrift Stores come out in the Red Plum mailers. That also means they have a coupon available on the website for 50% off as well. You can find Value World stores in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
We have two stores near us. I used one coupon this past weekend and found some fun finds. I will be sharing them with you over the next few weeks.
Here are a few of my finds.
There were only three of these cute village placemats. But, there are only three of us in this house, so that works out just fine. The set was .99 cents.
With Easter coming up I couldn’t pass up this cute little tin for .10 cents.
A couple of sweet scenes on the tin.
A couple of ceramic swans. These are getting incorporated into my spring decor. I thought they were a nice find for .25 cents each
.Here is what I did with them to “Spring” them up. I grabbed my bag of Spanish Moss and two of these cute little buckets with purple flowers in them (Bought at Michael’s last Spring).
These little angels just caught my eye. I don’t know anything about them but, I just really liked them. They are different from what I see on a regular basis. Yup, they will go into the holiday box I keep in my coat closet until I fill the box and put everything away in the boxed up holiday stuff in storage. The pair were $1.49.
I am joining Linda for her last Junkin’ Finds Friday. She has passed on the torch to me. Woohoo, my first linky party! And as Linda changed this party passed to her from Debbie, I am changing it a bit as well. Here is the new name and party button:
I hope you all will join me next week and link up your thrifty finds, thrifty re-dos, thrifty re-purposed things and any other thriftiness you want to share!
And to kick off this fun new addition to The Thrifty Groove, I will be having a special Thrifty giveaway with two winners!
Have a wonderful weekend!
very cute! i wish we lived closer so we could go thrifting together!
ReplyDeleteI SO would have snatched up those swans if I had seen them before you! They are gorgeous! I love how you filled them for spring. Good job on the deals. I must go to Value World on the wrong days. I hardly EVER find a treasure. LOL But, I will look into those coupons. I've never seen any. Which Value Worlds do you go to? I live in Michigan too and have a few near enough to my home as well.

Hi Diann...
ReplyDeleteWow...you got some really nice things at Value World, my friend! I have never heard of this place but then I guess they aren't in my neck of the woods. I love the pretty lace village placemats. I was thinking how pretty they would be to just frame! A pretty fabric background with the little village house on top...would be pretty! The details are beautiful!!! I also really like your swan planters! They are perfect for spring...especially after your added the moss and pretty flowers! Great treasure finds, my friend! You always find the best stuff! Thanks for sharing them with us!
Warmest spring wishes,

ReplyDeleteDiann,
ReplyDeleteLove that Easter tin! I would have grabbed that one as quick as I could!! The placemats are really cute and will look lovely against a darker colored tablecloth. I have actually seen one framed against a darker background.
And those swans are lovely and what a great idea to use them as a Spring decor item!!

Hi Diann, I'm visiting from Linda's @ A la Carte. I'm so glad you're going to keep the torch going with the thrifty finds link party!
ReplyDeleteIt's been one of my favorites and I'm sure yours will be also!
See you next week!
Congratulations on your new linky party and THANK YOU for keeping the great thrifting linking action going. Especially since in a weekend or 2 THE SEASON will be beginning around here. It has been such a very loooong winter. (off season)
ReplyDeleteYour vintage inspired tin does have great graphics. The angels remind me of the musical kissing angels I had growing up.
You always have a very creative eye and make cute things cuter.
