This was my first time making this recipe. And we really liked it and could see using the sauce recipe as a marinade on many things!
Here are the ingredients:
1-2 lbs of sausage (I used a package of smoked sausage and polish sausage when I made it)
4 Tbs of a Grainy Mustard
4 Tbs of Balsamic Vinegar
4 Tbs of Brown Sugar
3 Tbs of Honey
1 sliced onion (I will add another one the next time. The onions caramelized and are so yummy!)
Throw all the sliced onions and sausage into a crockpot on low and then mix the rest of the ingredients together and pour over the sausage and onions. Mix well. Let cook for 5-7 hours on low. This is just so yummy!
I decided to take some out and serve them as appetizers. I thought I had the fancy cocktail toothpicks but, for the life of me I couldn’t find them.
The princess was so excited to have food on a toothpick!
The rest of them I am serving over rice. The sauce it makes is so scrumptious!
I hope you enjoyed this recipe! It is so easy to make. Don’t we love that!
Have a fantastic weekend!
