A Little “Green” Shelf Makeover

Hi everyone!

Just when all the rain washed all the snow away, we got hit with another snow blizzard! Oh, I am so ready for Spring! Since I will not be seeing any green outside for awhile, at least I have a little green inside.

I showed you my wood tray filled with a little St. Patrick’s Day redo last week. I decided to move this tray up onto a shelf in the living room and just add a couple of other things to it.

St. Paddys day 2011 023St. Paddys day 2011 024I bought two of these cute shamrock canapé plates at Home Good Store. They were my big splurge for St. Patrick’s Day this year.

St. Paddys day 2011 026The brass candlesticks were thrifted a couple of weeks ago. I decided they were the perfect touch of “gold” for the shelf.

St. Paddys day 2011 027The pretty glittery shamrock came in a package of 10 from the Dollar Store. A small piece of double faced tape did the trick of sticking them to he candles.

That is my simple St. Patrick’s Day shelf. I didn’t do a lot of decorating for St. Patrick’s day. To be honest, at this point of the year, my brain is more into the whole “Bring on Spring” mode and I want to decorate for Spring or the very least Easter.

I hope you all had a great weekend!

  1. Because of the snow up your way, my son-in-law and Grands went out and made a turtle out of snow and used kool-aid to turn it green, used oreo cookies for the eyes and shell...

  5. I almost wish it would snow some more, just so I don't have to look at the brown grass. Isn't that pathetic?! Love your St. Patty's day greens!

The midwest has been hard hit this year and I long for hot days and lots of sunshine. I promise not to complain about the heat all summer long! :-)
Thanks for stopping by. I've been so out of it with these computer woes of mine, but I think I'm all set to get inspired to post.
