Getting My Valentine Craft on!

Hi everyone!

Well, I finished a couple of Valentine crafts. The first project is a Valentine banner. My friend Linda sent me this cute little banner kit.

It included card stock letters spelling out “Happy Valentines Day”, some stickers, a couple of small sheets of scrapbook paper and the ribbon.

Valetines Day 11 002

I went through my stash of scrapbook papers and found some fun Valentine prints, grabbed some Elmer’s glue, and scissors and got down to some banner making fun!

Since I wanted to involve the princess, I cut out some pink cardstock to glue to the hearts then she was in charge of sticker placement! And she will tell you she is very good with stickers. LOL

I think it turned out really cute. And since I will save this banner and use it again next year and hopefully for many ears to come, I made sure to mark the back of it with the date and the fact that the princess and I made it together.

My second project for the week was this patchwork pieced table runner. I have a box of small fabric pieces that are all holiday designs. They are leftovers from other projects. So, I scrounged around in it and found enough Valentine pieces to put together a good size runner.

Valetines Day 11 005

I just love all the fun bright cheery fabrics! I did it all by hand. this is the kind of thing I do while watching TV in the evening. I thought I would play around with some embroidery and beads. I used to do a lot of embroidery and beading way back a gazillion years ago but, haven’t done any in a long time. so, I was just playing.

Valetines Day 11 008 Like I said, Just practicing. so, you can see I am no Martha Stewart! LOL

Valetines Day 11 009 I have it in the living room with my favorite white teapot with some faux flowers and heart picks with a couple of my votive pedestals.

Valetines Day 11 010 Valetines Day 11 011 Valetines Day 11 012 Well, I hope you enjoyed my little Valentine projects. I know I had fun making them as did the princess.

Don’t forget………
