Thrifted Pretties Repurposed!

Hi everyone!

Well, you all know I love pretty dishes. I don't mind if they are chipped or just one of a kind piece. I seem to run my very own "Home for lonely dishes". I just can't seem to pass up a pretty little dish. I have thrifted several saucers. They all were just so pretty, I had to take them home. Here are a few. I paid $1.00 for each of them.

Now, when I bought these I had some projects in mind. And then I found 6 boxes of these cut glass votive holders (2 per box). Each box was marked .79 cents. But, it was half off day so I got each box for .39 cents! I love when I find a large amount of something like this. More than likely these were used at a wedding reception or shower, and then got donated. And I love when I can snatch them up for such a thrifty price!

Yesterday the Princess was at Grandma's and the hubby was out doing stuff with our nephew so, I had an afternoon ALONE!! Woohoo!! I had bought several glass candlesticks from the dollar store awhile back. I pulled all my things together.

After I washed and dried all my pieces, I spent a couple of hours glueing! First I centered and glued the glass candlesticks to the bottom of the saucer.

After about an hour, I flipped them over and glued the cut glass votive holder to the center of the saucer.

Since I had the time and the items, I ended up making 5 of them yesterday. Two of them I chose not to add the glass votive holder. And one of them, I used a white ceramic candlestick instead of the glass one.

I am going to be ordering some crystals to add to some that I make. I have plenty of thrifted saucers to make more. I just have to gather them up.

A couple of these are going to be given as Valentine gifts and the others will be sold. I love to repurpose pretty discarded items like these saucers! It gives them a whole new life!
