Sometimes Simple is Best

Hi Everyone!

I have been slowly getting our home back into some kind of normalacy (whatever that is!). We switched a few things around in the living room.

This "mid-century" table lamp was a thrift find last Spring for $7.00 and I really like it. It is perfect to tuck here or there. When Troy moved this table out of the corner to make room for the Christmas Tree, he just opened the bible to the nativity story from Luke. We added my How Great Thou Art Sign on a little metal stand. I bought the stand at a yard sale for .50 cents and my sign was a clearance purchase from A J Wright for $2.00 because of the chips in it. I left the gold cutout napkin under it (Purchased a set of 4 of these napkins last year "After-Christmas" sale at the Christmas Tree Shops for $1.00).

The only thing that has been changed is Troy opened the bible to The Sermon on the Mount.

See, I told you, quite simple. I hope you will join me at these fun parties!

  8. I can't tell from the photo but think I picked up a similar stand recently. Mine is long and shallow and a brick candle used to sit on it. I have been trying to figure out something to use it for, without getting all flowery.
Thank you for giving me new SIMPLER ideas.
