Santa Reads The Thrifty Groove!!

Who knew!! LOL. You might remember this post where I ever so slightly and subtly asked Santa for a new matching teapot for one of my newly purchased teacups. Can you image my surprise when I opened up this beautiful teapot! I feel so honored that such a prestigious icon like Santa would read my little blog! :)

Matching teapot gift tea 002I love it, love it, love it!

Santa said he wasn’t sure  he got the right teapot when he was at Home Goods Store, so he bought  a teacup and saucer just to make sure I had a matching set! LOL So, I am thrilled to have 2 matching teacups and saucers to go with this teapot!

Matching teapot gift tea 003Now I have a teacup for you to join me for tea today!

Matching teapot gift tea 011So, with my new teapot and new teacups and saucers, I decided to make us a little tea using some of my thrifted pretties!

Besides having a simple white creamer and sugar, having a pretty cut glass set is also a good thing to have on hand. Both can generally go with all your teapots and teacups. I have several white sets and now I have this set. I think it will be perfect for so many tea parties.

Matching teapot gift tea 009Such a sweet little cut glass creamer and sugar.    I got the set at a thrift store for .90 cents (both). A wonderful buy!

I have muffins in the oven so, I decided to use my .10 cent little white with pink flowers tray that I got this past summer at a yard sale. How sweet is that? And only a dime! I generally have this little tray on my nightstand and use it to put my watch, ring and cell phone on  before I go to bed.

Matching teapot gift tea 008 I used several different vintage doilies for our tea today plus two very light pink candle holder with gold votive holders and vanilla scented candles.

  22. Hi Diann Sweetie...
Oh I so enjoyed tea today. I find it amazing that with all the things that Santa has to do, he still has time to read our blogs and find out our deepest wishes.

Your teapot is delightful and I am so thrilled to be drinking from such an exquisite tea cup as well. The roses are so elegant, and just fit for a Queen of The Thrifty Groove.

Now hurry along sweetie, I smell muffins cooking. Was that the timer that went off?

Many hugs and so much love, Sherry
