Gifts from a Friend

Hi everyone!

Doesn't it just amaze you when a friend knows you so well they send you the perfect gift? Especially if it is a blogging friend!

Well, it always surprises me! But, that is what my friend Linda did! She sent me this pretty blue and white cup set, the cute snowmen figurine and this
awesome book!

Linda knows I love blue and white dishes. I love all dishes but, for some reason I really steer towards blue and white. I guess because it always has such a fresh look to me.

I love how nice and big this cup is!

The figurine is just so cute.

I have a confession, I have already read the book! I read it the day after I opened it. LOL If you haven't read Mary Kay Andrews books yet, I really recommend them! they are easy and fun reads. Her books are about Weezie a 2nd hand shop owner who has adventures when she is out thrifting/junkin. She talks about finding all the things we all love to find. And she talks about redoing this piece or that. If your are a thrifter, you will love these books. Even if you are not, I still think you would enjoy them.

I set everything on one of my favorite silver trays (which needs a good polishing soon). I also used one of my favorite pieces of WmRogers silverware and a pretty blue and white floral linen napkin. And of course, I had to add a little candlelight to the tea party!

Enjoy the tea!

Thanks for stopping by for tea with me today!

  6. I am so glad you like it! I have heard you mention sometimes wanting a large cup of tea and this cup fit that to perfection. I think of you and Troy with the snowmen and the key to your heart! You know I'm a MKA fan and this book was perfect for your Blue Christmas gift. You have made it elegant with that lovely tray and napkin! It's cold here so I'm ready to snuggle up with a good cup of tea and a book myself.
    hugs, Linda

  14. The cup looks very pretty alongside the little blue and white candleholder. I think of you every time I see a pretty cup and saucer in a thrift store. I've written down the name of the author and will be looking for her books.
