Revisiting Paula Deen

Hi everyone!

Today I thought we would revisit a post I did last November. This was a fun downloadable "get ready for the Holidays" from Paula Deen. I thought some of you might want to check it out. And by the way, yes, I did keep a chrismas journal all year. I filled it with all kinds of ideas, gift ideas, gifts I bought, pictures of thrifted Christmas finds throughout the year...etc.

Hey Y'all! okay, so that was my Paula greeting! LOL I thought you might enjoy a free Holiday e-book from Paula Deen (sponsored by Smithfield). This download is called, "Paula Deen's Holiday Hosting Guide". It is a 36 page free download filled with some wonderful Holiday ideas! I just spent the last 30 minutes reading through this one and getting some great decorating ideas, recipes, activities, tablescape ideas and all around good holiday tips! The picture below is one of Paula's centerpiece ideas, "Christmas Rose Package Centerpiece". Isn't it pretty! I like this idea and think it would be pretty scaled down for some areas other than your dining room table. What do you think? She gives step by step how to's to make it.

Or look at this mouthwatering "Paula's Christmas Morning Casserole"!

I think I am going to start a "Christmas Book" and fill it with different ideas and recipes and all things Christmas related that I find different places whether online or in magazines or perhaps a beautiful display at a store (keep those cameras in your purse!)and want to keep. And I think this might be a great download to start out with!

There are some nice budget friendly ideas in here and we all could use that! Not to mention, I think Paula Deen is "every women" friendly (that's my new spin of terms like 'user-friendly' or 'eco-friendly'..LOL)

  5. I'm a Paula fan. We lived in Savannah for 7 years. When we first moved there, it was before she gained popularity. Her lunch plates were only $5 at that time. I've met both of her sons but never did meet her but I do have her autographed cookbook. Still love to visit Lady and Sons when we go back. Nothing like southern cooking!
    Thanks for sharing the link!

  6. I love Paula. I have several of her cookbooks and have to buy her magazine and any special magazines. We've been to Savannah numerous times but still haven't been to her place to eat. One of these days.

Thanks for the link I downloaded it and will print it when I get more yellow ink:)

  7. Oh, thanks for the link. I am excited to check it out :) The Christmas Morning Casserole looks delicious as do the pretty centerpieces!

  8. Thank you for sharing the link! Paula is a sweetheart - y'all and all ;) I love that centerpiece!
