A Box of Dirty Mix and Match China

Hi everyone!

As most of you already know, I am one of those thrifters that doesn't mind getting dirty for fun thrifty finds. Yup, when I go thrifting, I dress accordingly. Meaning clothes that are comfy and can take dirt or grass just fine. Nine times of out ten, you can find my tush plopped down on the ground or the floor going through the stuff tucked away in in dirty old boxes. These are "Mish-Mash" boxes to me. And I love them!

I really love to find these boxes at flea markets. This is the true wheeling and dealing Mecca of my little life! LOL It is the ultimate Treasure Hunt to me. Sometimes I walk away with nothing but filthy hands and a dirty bum but, other times I find wonderful pretties at very good prices!

Well, at an outdoor flea market I found such a box. I want to show you a few of the things that were in this box that are tea related. Yup, not my normal teascape today. Instead, I am just showing you found treasures!

Here are all my tea item finds in the state I found them.

I was so excited to find all these different pieces because I have been looking for odds and ends china. I have several Christmas present projects in the works and I needed these. About 90% of these will be turned into different things and used as gifts. This bunch of china cost me $2.25 total. And I will be able to now finish 4 different gifts. Woohoo!

I also wanted to show you this cute pig teapot my mom found for me at a yard sale recently.

How cute is that?

Well, although this wasn't a teascape, I hope you enjoyed my new finds with me! Have a wonderful day!

Don't forget, I have a giveaway for a $15.00 Walmart Gift card going on right now! Go check it out!

I will be joining these fun parties today!

  1. Diann, You found some beautiful pieces. I will be interested to see what you make with them. One neat idea is a tea cup and saucer glued to a 3 foot or so stake; you put it in the garden and can even put a little birdseed in it. I really like the little saucer with the blue roses and your cream and sugar is adorable.

  19. Amazing that all of these little treasures were in one box! My heart skipped a beat on the 3rd picture. I have the little creamer, given to me by my grandmother. It sits on a matching saucer. My aunt tells me my when my grandmother was a young girl, she saw this in a storefront window and saved her pennies over time to buy it. My grandma was born in 1901 so that should tell you how old it is if it's the same piece from the same era.

  26. You are one of the people who influences me to look at things (such as tea cups) that I never gave a second look to before becoming blog addicted.
I am very happy for you and your "cheap" finds.

I have a cat tea pot that I believe is from the same maker as your pig.
