Fall Centerpiece Update

Last week I did my first Fall tablescape. I left the centerpiece on the table all week long. I decided to change it up a bit. the reason for the change was This pretty pumpkin filled with flowers.

At one of the Farmer’s Market that Troy sell’s at, there is also a booth set up and run by the local High School “Future Farmer’s Association”. They have been growing and taking care of the flowers all around the small town. Plus, they grew their own veggies. they have been setting up at the Farmer’ Market and selling their produce. One of the young ladies involved in the group decided to take it upon herself and create these pumpkins filled with flowers. She said she saw it in a magazine and thought they were pretty and something she could make. She made 8 of them and was kind of nervous a wondering if they would sell or not. She priced them at $7.00 a piece. Needless to say, they sold quickly! She was so excited. Of course, I was one of her customers. I LOVE to support these kinds of projects! And they were just so sweet, I had to have one! She also bundled cornstalks together and did big beautiful Fall bows on them. I am going to probably a couple of them next week.

Edited: Everyone has asked if the flowers and pumpkin are real. yes they are. They grew the pumpkins and the flowers at their school greenhouse or garden.

So, that was the reason for the dining room table centerpiece change.

Before:

After:

I used most of the same items, the picture frame, doily, leaves, bird votive holders and the hurricane candle holders.

Fall centerpiece 002Isn’t that flower arrangement so pretty? The young woman did a wonderful job!

I added one of our white pumpkin gourds.

Fall centerpiece 006I changed out the deep russet color candles for warm caramel color candles.

My little tip for the day: If you want to do a centerpiece on the table that you use everyday, make your centerpiece on some sort of tray. That way you can just lift the whole thing off for dinner or whatever. Just makes things quicker and easier.
