Deep Scarlet Red & Ivory White Tea

I love bright vibrant reds but, there is just something so gorgeous about deep rich scarlet reds. So, I thought I would try to put together a "scarlett' tea for you today.

I just love this teacup and saucer. The pretty details are wonderful. However, the teacup and the saucer are not a matched set. I still think they look lovely together. The teacup is Paragon by appointment to H.M The Queen & M.M. Queen Mary. Troy bought me this lovely teacup addition at an Estate Auction.

I wanted to add this pretty deep scarlett and silvery gray silk scarf I got for only a dime this past summer at a yard sale. It has such a lovely autumn feel to it with the maple leaf pattern.

Here is our tea for today.

I decided to use this sweet ivory cherub dish to hold sugar cubes. I have two of these and they normally sit on my dresser holding candles.

I think it is so pretty to use etched wineglasses for candles. The reflection glimmers and is just magical.

The beautiful cut glass creamer was a recent freebie. I got it at a resale shop that was going out of business and offered a lot of their items free for the taking. The teapot was a Christmas gift from Troy last year.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and have a beatufiul day!

  1. Hello Diann,
What a stunning teacup; love the colour of it! The saucer matches very well. I too like to use wine goblets for votives. They lend a lovely ambience to any setting. The scarlet scarf looks wonderful with your teascape and the teapot is gorgeous! It resembles my red toile one made by Skye McGhie! It looks like the same shape at least. Lovely tea, Diann! Thank you and have a beautiful day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  14. Hi Diann,
these Paragon tea cups are so lovely. I saw another in Marthas blog and both, yours and Marthas are so romantic and dainty. I have to look for some to buy them. All your vignettes are so nice. Love the pearls to the cup, this add so much shimmering gleam.
