I think vintage jewelry and junk jewelry are just FUN! It’s one of my favorite things about being a girl….to play with pretty baubles! I have been collecting fun jewelry pieces since my mid-20”s. I like to wear them as is or wear them in different ways. I also like to craft with them or use them in other ways such as napkin rings. So, when I finds some very thrifty old jewelry, I pick it up.
I got these pieces at a recent yard sale.
This is an early 80’s Avon piece. It was .25 cents.
All these pieces were in a bag for .25 cents.
As you can see, some of the finish is wearing off the beads.
It is all on a piece of fabric.
It came in this bag of other odds and ends including a nail clipper….uh, okay? some old metal necklaces and a watch. The bag was .25 cents. So, I could pass it up!
So, there you have my .75 cents worth of fun jewelry finds!
Don’t forget my two giveaways going on right now!
And….
My month long “Steal Diann’s Thrift Finds” giveaway!
I am linking to these fun parties:

What great finds, I do like the beaded collar. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. Many possibilities of recycling those vintage necklaces into crazy quilt items.
ReplyDeleteThe beaded collar is pretty, the original owner must have loved wearing it.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had kept many of the special things from Avon I had back in the 70's but they ended up in garage sales over the years.
I so love that beaded collor!! So pretty!! Nice finds Diane!
ReplyDeleteDo you find that your tastes have changed? I wouldn't buy any old bling and now, if I see a big old rhinestone pin, I want it. Unfortunately, the prices have gone up. I guess when I didn't want them, they were cheaper. Isn't it great when your tastes are ahead to the trend?
ReplyDeleteSo, the next best thing will be stealing your finds! Aren't you sweet to do the shopping for us?
More great finds! I had one of those beaded collars. I bet it's packed away in a box somewhere. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice finds!! I would have bought all that also. I remember when the beaded collars were popular - think I had one at one time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Diann, you've done it again - These prices you paid make these beauties "give-aways". I think that beaded collar would be so pretty at the base of a table top Christmas tree or Easter tree, etc. as a tree skirt. Some day, I'm going to come bargain hunting with you! Thank you for linking all of this bling to Favorite Things Sat. Hope your weekend is wonderful. laurie
