More Vintage Aprons!

Happy Labor Day Everyone!

Well, you know I told you yesterday that I had been thrifting my little heart out because I figured there would be no garage/yard sales on Sunday and the Holiday? I was SOOOOOOO wrong!

Today we decided to head into the little town and check out a couple of stores. Actually, after reposting yesterdays post about the Fall dishes, I wanted to head into town and check out the Fall dish selection this year at The Family Dollar and General Dollar so I could tell you all about what they have this year.

But, just from our campground into town, we hit several really good yard sales that just started today!

I did make to the two stores and have pictures for y'all to see what their Fall dish offering will be this year. But, I will do that on a different post this week.

First we stopped at the yard sale that had all the aprons for a dime each. Guess what? She had more! Oh be still my vintage apron lovin' heart! What's more, she gave them all to me for .05 cents each!! My thrifting luck this weekend was one of the best I have had in ages!!

Okay, here are my newest aprons. Let me first apologize for how dark these photos came out. I didn't realize it was that overcast when I took the pictures when we got home. There are several aprons with blues in them so, I will be joining Blue Monday as well as Today's Thrifty Treaures!
As the other aprons, these all have some stains or tiny holes in them here and there. They look like they were stored in a box for a lot of years.

The center fabric on this one is a sheer aqua blueish color. I just love all the different style of pockets that are on each of these aprons!

This one is a natural color sheer fabric with this pretty trim.

This one really reminds me of a Depression Era Apron with the red backgound and blue and white flowers.
How totally cute is this one? Sheer fabric with a tiny black and white check fabric with fun sunflowers!
A very cute apple apron!
Another one that reminds me of The Depression Era. Pretty flower baskets edge the hem.

So, these 6 aprons cost me .30 cents total!! How amazing is that?! Wait to you see the other things I got just from this one yard sale! Seriously, I have been in thrifting heaven this weekend!

Just a Reminder!! The month of September is "Steal Diann's Thrift Finds" Giveaway!! Just check out this post to read all about it!

  15. Those aprons remind me of the ones my mom wore when I was young. She wore an apron over her dress every day of the week. On weekdays she would wear one of the cobbler type aprons but on Sundays she'd pull out a pretty apron to go over her dress when she was in the kitchen.

  20. So glad you are having a great Labor Day weekend. Storms are moving through here today. A good day to check out my loot from Saturday. I found some nice people too. One lady saw me looking at craft patterns and said she'd give me the whole stack for a quarter. After I paid her she said she would've paid me to take them out of her house!

  24. I think you were stealing aprons, my friend. Isn't it so wonderful that what someone places little or no value on can make someone else so happy? I have my eye on the red background apron with the flowers, though, I do prefer full length aprons. If I make a mess on myself, it is usually above the waist, so I don't really understand aprons that just cover from the waist down.
Do others find that to be so? Splatters happen high up on me, where my hands are busy cooking.
