Shelves

I seem to be drawn to shelves while out thrifting. I have a really hard time passing up a great bargain on a shelf. So, in the last few thrifting adventures, I have managed to collect a few shelves. A couple I am going to redo and keep. The others are getting a redo and either sold or given as gifts. Gotta start thinking about the upcoming holidays! Here are some of the latest one.

A cute solid wood country shelf. I like the pegs on it and when you open the door there are couple more pegs. This is going to get redone and sold or gift.

Okay, not a shelf but a mirror. I found this, you guessed it, as a curbside freebie. It is one heavy mirror. it looks like it was probably part of a dresser set. I am planning on repainting it white and purple for the Princess's room.

Not a very good picture, but this is a large corner shelf. It looks like it is painted white in the picture but, actually it is just raw wood. It was $1.00. This one I am keeping.

Another picture that I didn't get a good shot of is the plain large wood shelf that has blue paint on it. I am keeping that one as well. It was a dumpster dive freebie. The wood shelf with the smaller shelves on it and a heart will be redone and sold.

I have several other shelves that were freebie finds that I don't have pictures of. Several are the wire rack shelving that are going into my laundry room and one 8 foot long white wire shelf is going over my bedroom closet and I am going to store all of my purses on it. Yes, I have a lot of purses. Now I just have to work on a creative way to "hide" it. LOL

So, I have lots of painting project to do soon. So far, the last couple of days, the weather has been really nice. Only in the 80's. I can handle that. Now I am keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to stay nice.

Don't forget, I have my giveaway for the $25.00 Sam's Club gift Card still going on! You can enter HERE!!

  3. Diane : I see wood shelves all the time at yard sales. I don't buy them because I don't resale and I don't need them.

  4. Isn't it interesting that once we find something we like we attract more of the same type into our lives.

  9. My weakness is plates with roses. :) You got some great stuff to work on. That one shelf reminds me of a sled....the one with the little doors. :) (in the first pic)
