Okay, now how about some food!
First we will start with some Lavash roll up sandwiches. I decided to use the sun dried tomato Lavash because I just thought it would look pretty with this table.

We seem to love having rolled up sandwiches during the summer. I use Lavash or tortillas all the time. And it is a great way to use up all the bits and pieces you have from left over meals. Not to mention, They are actually better the second day. just wrapped them in wax paper and you can have a nice stash of already made quick sandwiches!
Today's sandwiches are a mix of some with leftover grilled chicken and some with leftover ham.

I 8oz. package of softened cream cheese (I use Neufchatel cheese because I like the creamy and lightness of it).
4 chopped fine green onions
dash of salt and pepper
2 teaspoons of dried herb mix (we make a special blend out of our herbs to keep on hand all year long) but, you can just add whatever herbs and seasonings that you like.
Cream all together.
Spread thinly over lavash. Sprinkle you chopped up meat and then add a couple of slices of avocado.

Start at one edge and roll tightly. Cut in half.
Our salad is a simple salad of:
lettuce, sliced strawberries, slice tomatoes, chopped green onions, sliced cucumbers and walnuts.

Greek & Feta dressing

A little noshing plate

And some strawberries cut up and drizzled with honey.

ReplyDeleteDiann, ♥♥♥ your red and white table...the white "cutout" plates look so nice against the red. All of the food looks delicious...and, and, and...that ironstone tureen makes me smile! E-mail me the width of the ladle opening, I may have an extra one that you can have if it fits...it is a total of 8" long and a little over ½" in width. If you think it will fit, it is yours!
