Red and White Lunch Table

Hi everyone! This little outdoor patio lunch is based on the red and white finds I showed you yesterday. I set out some fruit so you have something to nibble on while you are visiting today! If you make it all the way to the end, I will have our lunch ready!

I started with these fun white wickery round table mats. I got them at The Christmas Tree Shops awhile back. Each were $1.00. I then used my brand new Target Red plates. I added a fun white weave look plate (thrift store last year) and then topped it with a red and white star bowl (bought at the end of last summer clearanced at The Family Dollar Store for .50 cents each).
The white and clear glass cups I found at a flea market last summer and the pretty clear glasses I just got last weekend at SA for 4/$1.00.

A clear red glass cup and a red little plate, both yard sale finds, will hold our dressing.
Plain white bowls for our dessert.
My new red buckets and red and white checked bandannas work well to hold the flatware.

The large ironstone bowl will be used for our salad but, in the meantime, help yourself to some fresh cherries.
And some strawberries too! Don't you love wax paper? When I was a kid, everything was wrapped in wax paper. And it just seemed perfect to line these little baskets.

Okay, now how about some food!

First we will start with some Lavash roll up sandwiches. I decided to use the sun dried tomato Lavash because I just thought it would look pretty with this table.

We seem to love having rolled up sandwiches during the summer. I use Lavash or tortillas all the time. And it is a great way to use up all the bits and pieces you have from left over meals. Not to mention, They are actually better the second day. just wrapped them in wax paper and you can have a nice stash of already made quick sandwiches!

Today's sandwiches are a mix of some with leftover grilled chicken and some with leftover ham.

I 8oz. package of softened cream cheese (I use Neufchatel cheese because I like the creamy and lightness of it).

4 chopped fine green onions

dash of salt and pepper

2 teaspoons of dried herb mix (we make a special blend out of our herbs to keep on hand all year long) but, you can just add whatever herbs and seasonings that you like.

Cream all together.

Spread thinly over lavash. Sprinkle you chopped up meat and then add a couple of slices of avocado.

Start at one edge and roll tightly. Cut in half.

Our salad is a simple salad of:

lettuce, sliced strawberries, slice tomatoes, chopped green onions, sliced cucumbers and walnuts.

Greek & Feta dressing

A little noshing plate

And some strawberries cut up and drizzled with honey.

I have a giveaway going on! Don't forget to enter HERE for a chance to win the 18x24 poster!!

  13. Diann, ♥♥♥ your red and white table...the white "cutout" plates look so nice against the red. All of the food looks delicious...and, and, and...that ironstone tureen makes me smile! E-mail me the width of the ladle opening, I may have an extra one that you can have if it fits...it is a total of 8" long and a little over ½" in width. If you think it will fit, it is yours!
