Pretty Limoges Teacup

Hi Everyone and Happy Tea Day!

Today I want to show you a couple of pretty treasures Troy recently won for me on Ebay. So, I set a little tea for you. And once this post is done, I am making tea for myself and going to enjoy it while reading my book out on the patio!

I polished up one of my misfit silver spoons for you. Well, of course I had to leave a little pretty patina here and there to show off the lovely design.

My first "new" treasure is this ever so delicate little sugar pot. Such pretty dainty roses on it. I fell in love with it when Troy showed me the auction on Ebay and asked me if I would like this piece. Well, um....hello, YES!

Here is the marking on the bottom.

It is such a pretty little treasure!

The same Ebay seller had several teacup and saucer sets for sale. Troy said that he wasn't even going to show me the teacups. He was just going to pick one out so that something in the package would be a surprise. And this is the beautiful Limoges teacup and saucer he picked out.

I just love the two handles!

And here are a few just random pictures.

The square wicker charger was a clearance find at Walmart last fall - $1.50
A vintage hankie was from a flea market last year ~ .50 cents
The white teapot was a Christmas present from Troy
The white cotton lace embroidered napkin is one of 4 bought at a flea market for 4/$2.00

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed your visit today!

  14. Troy has wonderful taste in china...that sugar bowl is beautiful. Being a non-tea drinker I am not real familiar with tea cups, but I don't think I have seen a double handled one before, really unique.

  23. Hi Diann! Your sugar pot and tea cup are beautiful!.. Hmmm.. they make me wonder if I should be checking out Ebay a little more. I've always been a little leery about shopping online, and it was a huge step as it is (ha! ha!), that I have just recently become an Etsy customer for the first time! I have simply GOT to keep up with the times I guess! ~tina
