Lot's of White & a Little Yellow

I have been trying to lighten up the decor in my living room for the summer months. A couple of weeks ago I showed you the shelf over the door wall. Now I am tackling the shelf on the wall directly across from the door wall.

I had hoped to have had the shelf painted black by the time I did this post, but, oh well, life got in the way. LOL I'll get to it.....sooner or later.

All the items on the shelf have been thrifted except for the little birds which were courtsey of Michael's at 50% off. A couple of the items were recent thrift finds.

This little tureen was one of my recent finds. Since I have my large tureens across the room on the other shelf, I thought the little ones would nicely balance out this smaller shelf.
This was my other recent find. Generally I don't find myself looking at cherub items. But, I just loved this piece.

I also got this little milkglass piece. I am not entirely sold on it sitting on the round candlestick. but, I will live with it for awhile and see if it totally bugs me or grows on me. LOL
