A Golden Table & A Giveaway!!

Hi everyone! It's that time of the week to tablescape our little hearts out! LOL Before I even get into the pictures and description of my tablescape this week, I feel it is my responsibility to do a Disclaimer. Yes my wonderful friends, I need to forewarn you about this tablescape. I would like you all to please be seated. Make sure there are no sharp items around you. I don't want any one to pass out and get hurt. I would feel entirely too guilty! Okay, deep breath!

Not only did I do a 4 person setting, as you all know, I generally only do two people tables but....and this is a big bu...well, you know, are you ready? Are you sure? I have gone and done the unthinkable! Yes, my tablescape this week is ......all matching china!! No mix and matching going on this week!

Oh no! I heard a chair fall over in the back of the room! Someone, go check on her please! Okay, I will wait a few moments to let all the gasping subside. Let this shocking bit of news sink in. Lalala.....if it helps, remember there is a giveaway announcement at the end of this post!

All right, is everyone okay now?

I thought since I have never really done a totally matched tablescape, you guys probably didn't think I was capable of doing one. Granted, I used a couple of non-matched pieces on the side, but the settings are completely matched!

You know I was sweating and shaking doing this matched tablescape. I kept thinking, "Oh, those salad plates I got at the thrift store last year would mix perfectly in this table setting!" But, no! I resisted! I am strong! I had to push myself to the edge of the tablescaping realm!

Now that we are all over this shock, we can move on to the tablescape.

I started with a gold damask table cloth. Who cares if it is wrinkled. It's gonna get covered!

Then I added this pretty vintage piece of fabric as an overlay. I bought this piece at a local thrift store. I just loved the pretty gold floral pattern on it and knew it would be beautiful as table linen. When I opened the bag, I was so surprised to find the original price tag still on it! Now, I worked at Montgomery Ward when I was 18 (1981) and we didn't sell fabric then. I grew up as a kid shopping with my mom at Montgomery Ward. I don't ever remember them carrying fabric. Anyone know when they did? Isn't it pretty?

I added matching gold damask place mats and napkins. And then my settings. The dishes are Bellegarden porcelain china by Citation. I have a 26 piece set that I got years ago at a thrift store.

I added the water goblet and a pretty etched gold and white vintage drinking glass to the settings. I have complete sets of both of these glasses (various sizes) that I got from a woman selling out her storage units last summer.

Some matching serving pieces are on the table along with just a couple of additional pieces (I swear, I HAD to add them!! LOL). I love this gold and cream plate. It is "Victorian" by Johnson Bros. I have had it for awhile. I placed it on top of my gold and clear glass cake plate that I got clearanced at Home Goods Store.

I used this beautiful little china dish which will be filled with corn tonight for dinner. We are having a kind of Thanksgiving dinner. I have a turkey breast cooking and we will make all the fixin's. It has been cold, rainy and gloomy here for several days in a row so, I am craving the whole "full comfort food" kind of dinner.

And this is a carnival glass and crystal domed butter dish.

I also used my "daiquiri" crystal candlesticks. I got these around Christmas at TJ Maxx. I didn't want much more height, so instead of using tapers, I used these gold votive candle holders inside.

Now on to the giveaway!

See this beautiful dark gold and bronzy gold accent teapot? Yup, that is the giveaway! Woohoo! I received this one to review and the gracious folks at CSN Stores and the awesome store Cookware.com are offering one of my readers one as well!

If not in China , then I would love it!
