Violets & Tea

Hi everyone! It's Tuesday and that means lots of wonderful tea parties happening out there in blogland!

Last week I showed you my surprise of all those wonderful teacups and saucers. Well, I had a request from one of our lovely tea Hostesses, Lady Katherine that she wanted to see the violet teacup and saucer this week. So, that is exactly what I am going to do!

So, I present to you the beautiful violet teacup and saucer. There is no markings on either the cup or the saucer so, I have no idea who made them or what the pattern is called.

Today I am trying Passion Fruit and Papaya Green Tea. I am working really hard to get in one cup of Green Tea a day.

I am using my violet teapot. This is a nice size ceramic teapot. And the deep purple violets are really pretty in person.

The napkins are vintage and bought at an auction last year some time.

I used my two mini violet teacups for a sugar and creamer.

The two pretty purple glass votive holders and this lovely hanging hand painted glass ball, also a tealight holder, were purchased recently at Big Lots.

I had to add this pretty purple glittery hummingbird to the party.

And a little mustard/jam silver vintage spoon. I have no idea how you tell the two apart.

I hope you all have enjoyed your tea and have a wonderful day!

** As a side note, if you didn't read my thank you post to all of you wonderful ladies, here it is.

Now join these other wonderful tea hostesss to see some beautiful teacups!

  7. Diann, That was my favorite teacup of the group too! I love how you found all the violet-themed items to go with - the makings of one lovely post! I especially like the painted violet ball. I strongly believe in the health benefits of green tea. My grandmother drank it every day and she lived to be 100. Simple and inexpensive, Lipton makes some flavored green teas that I enjoy. Best wishes and blessings to you, Beth
