"Gone Fishing"

Okay, so I doubt we will be fishing but, we are heading to our trailer today to open it up. So, we are going to be gone for a few days. To be honest, I'm not sure I will get a chance to do any blog posts while we are gone. Normally I would have had all my posts ready by now and scheduled. But, this has been a tough couple of weeks and I just didn't get anything prepared ahead of time.

It's going to be a "work" weekend getting the trailer all de-winterized but, we are planning some fun as well. A few towns over from where we camp, they are having their annual Maple Syrup Festival. Of course, they are predicting rain for the weekend, which isn't a big shock. When we went to the festival last year it poured the entire time. But, that doesn't stop us.

This year, my parents are joining us for the fun. They are taking their fifth wheel and camping next to us. We will all go to the festival together.

It will be a fun getaway for us come rain or shine.

Just a little info regarding the Maple festival. It takes place in a small city called Shepard, Michigan. You can read about it here. And to see all the fun activities going on, here is the PDF File showing all the places and events in town for the weekend.

So, if I appear MIA for the next few days, now you know why! I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Have loads of fun. I opened my camper last weekend and we had rain then too, but no festival to attend.

  2. Hope you have a good time and the weather cooperates! We're stuck at home - hubby has to finish a chicken coop and deliver it - and then he's on call one day (so far!) the rest of the weekend. BOO!

  3. Yes, it's a sure sign of Spring when people open up and air out their trailers! I envy you having one to go to. I hope you and your family have a great time at the Maple Festival, and you deserve some fun after what you've been through!

  9. Hope you have a WONDERFUL trip with excellent weather! It's been quite some time since I've visited but I've enjoyed catching up in my reader this morning. Thanks for making the whole post available in your feeds. I'm not sure how you spell it, but those Focaccia pizza burgers look delicious! I'm praying belatedly as you requested ... and am relieved to learn of the good outcome of your court visit. I do love all the 'thrifty' finds you share and am a week bit sorry I missed B&R's 31 cent event, but I've participated in years gone by. It feels good to be caught up here ... finally.
    Hugs and blessings,
