Rednesday~Red Ryder!

It's Rednesday at "It's a Very Cherry World"! And I am not posting about a thrift find! Whoa, did I just here a couple of people pass out? LOL I know, it's shocking but, I do actually own things that were not thrifty finds of mine. Like gifts from other people! LOL

I am showing you a fun little cabinet with shelves inside that we received as a gift from our BFF's several years ago. Our friend Sherry found it at a street fair and got it for us for Christmas. It is just the cutest and fun cabinet. It is on the wall by our staircase and holds my misc. candles.

It is made of wood and the sign in the middle is a tin sign.

A silly and fun gun handle.

Troy grew up in the West so we have several "Western" themed items throughout our home.

It is a fun piece that makes me smile and think of "The Christmas Story" whenever I pass it. I know it is not an "Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle! with a compass in the stock, and this thing which tells time", but I still think of Ralphie and Christmas!

Don't forget this week's giveaway! These beautiful set of 4 salad plates!!

  15. That is one cool cabinet! There's just something about the 50's/60's as a kid, and growing up with all the western shows!

  16. I love the cabinet. My husband would as well. In fact he was just in the play A Christmas Story. He played the adult Ralphie as the narrator. He had too much fun. Thanks for sharing, what a great piece.

  18. I love this cabinet. My three sons would love to own this. What a great idea with the gun handle. Since I won't be able to purchase this anywhere I am thinking of maybe trying to make one. My kids would go nuts about it. Thanks for sharing it.

  20. Love that cabinet! Since I live in the west, I enjoy these kind of things. Western, not southwestern! That was a very thoughtful gift! I can see why they are your BFF's!

  22. Hey! I have that tin sign! It's in my baby boy's cowboy bedroom (OK, he was a baby when I decorated it, and he's five now, boo hoo hoo). I felt funny about putting a gun sign in his room, but it's so darn cute! You have good taste!
