A Cup of English Breakfast Tea anyone?

Troy has taken the princess to the Pet Store. This is a favorite place to take her when she is restless. She loves to pet all the animals and try to mimic them. So, while they are gone, I am going to just chill out and read my book for a little while.

I found a new blue and white teapot last week and wanted to show it to you. I got it for $1.29 (that was half off the sticker price at the thrift store). It is a pretty stoneware pot. I don't have many stoneware teapots and so I am very pleased to add the pretty one to my collection.

I also got a surprise gift from my friend Linda from Al A Carte. She sent me this beautiful blue and white teacup and saucer! She knew I had some dishes that match this set. Thank you Linda!! I really love it!

As for the other pretties added to my cobalt blue ceramic tea tray (a gift from hubby this past Christmas along with the teapot and creamer & sugar bowl. You can see it HERE), I have added one of my white teapot teabag holder/spoon rests, a pretty little porcelain basket with soft colored roses to hold my Splenda packets, a sweet little votive holder with a cut-out pattern (with a vanilla scented candle glowing)and I thought with Easter right around the corner, this cute bunny might add a little smile for this tea moment. The two white doilies were recently given to me from my mom and the white embroidered napkin everything is sitting on is part of a set of 4 I have bought at a thrift store some time ago.

So, if you need a quiet moment to just relax, have a cup of tea and read your book, come on over!

Don't forget to check out this week's giveaway!
It is for this beautiful blue and white rose cake plate and server!!

I am so happy to join several tea parties this week! I hope you all take a moment, grab a cup of tea and visit them all.

  13. Hi Diann
I am so glad you joined the party. I love all your blue and white. I guess if you've visited me before you already know that. That was a good deal on the teapot and how sweet of your friend to give you the cup. I LOVE your giveaway and I know that plate would be happy at my house.

I am not at my own computer and I just noticed in my previous comment that it looked like it came from some someone named Jessica. Oops!
