Beautiful Show and Tell Friday

Hi everyone!

I'm joining two blog parties today. Claudia over at Dipity Road is hosting Friday~~Finding Beauty and Cindy at My Romantic Home is hosting Show and Tell Friday.
I have a few treasure finds to show you today.

I just think this platter is so pretty. I found it at a thrift store and couldn't refuse it. There is no marking on the back.

I just love the vivid colors of the flowers!

This plate will be so pretty in the Fall for either display or using it for some yummy little treats.

Once again, I love the colors!

If you remember this post, I showed my new Spring teapot. Well, I was so excited to find these two spoon rest/teabag holder pansies that match beautifully!

And finally, I found a set of 7 crystal and silver coasters. I have always loved silver, whether or not it is "in Fashion". I grew up with a lot of silver around the house and it was my mom and grandma's favorite in jewelry. So, whenever I find a good price on silver pieces I love, I snap them up. And this set was a great find!

I need to polish them all but, I did a quick polish/cleaning on one so you could see the pretty floral pattern around them. I am really up in the air as to whether or not I want to get out a toothbrush and really clean out all the tarnish in the design. Leaving a little tarnish in there actually highlights the design.

When I first looked at them, I couldn't find a marker mark on them. Once I started polishing them I found they were made in Italy. Then as I cleaned the entire thing, I discovered a very nice surprise....

They are made by Towle. A very nice surprise indeed!

Have a wonderful day everyone!!

  14. Hey Diann,
I'm so glad you stopped by my blog and my molding idea helped you with your "where can I stop my paint" problem. I sure didn't want to wallpaper my whole living room in the toile, so the molding worked out beautifully! (and it was a whole lot cheaper than buying wallpaper for the living room! LOL I love all your thrift finds, you did a great job grabbing the goodies! :) Please come back and visit me again! I have a Treasures and Trinkets Thursday each week where you can link up something you love! (I'm not picky about what you link, just has to be something you own) :) Have a great day and God bless~!
